Assassin’s Creed the movie dropped at the start of the month, a little quicker than we were able to get our new Fresh Focus piece together and out, but don’t worry we will still be hitting a review of the long awaited movie very very shortly to let you guys know how it lives up to the hype but more importantly how it stands up to the game franchise we all know and love. I personally cannot wait to see the Eagle Jumps or the stunt men running along those famous landmarks we have all spent many hours of our lives scaling only to then take that big dive into the haystack!
For the setting of this movie we meet Callum Lynch, played by the great Michael Fassbender, who is just your average guy until the Animus, technology that taps into your DNA and unlocks the memories of your ancestors, to access his 15th Century counterpart who spent his time as part of the Assassin’s, a mysterious secret society that have many cool acrobatic, parkour skills, deadly blades hidden down their sleeves and as their namesake states, an awesome array of skills for terminating their challengers, namely an organisation who go by the name of the Templars.
The story takes a very similar path to the original Assassins Creed where the Templars are looking for the Apple, an item that can change the effects of the world itself, and also similarly the Assassin’s memories we tap into is named Aguilar, not too far away a name from his pixelated alternative Altair. I really, really, really hope that this movie doesn’t butcher the great gaming series like so many other cross over series have done in the past, and who knows if this works and the movie series continues there could always be a Johnny Depp feature from Captain Jack Sparrow if we make it all the way to the Black Flag saga!
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is an upcoming survival horror first person shooter game. It is developed and published by Capcom. The game will be released on Playstation 4, Xbox one January 24th and hopefully on the PC as well. It will also be available exclusively on Playstation VR(if you are feeling brave).
The game will follow Ethan Winters, a new character to the game, as he tries to locate his missing wife Mia. Ethan will no doubt wander into some gruesome, grotesque creatures, but we will just have to wait and see.
The demo is available right now for you to sink your teeth into. Check out the trailer below and let us know if you’re game for the VR experience, we would love to hear how it pans out for you guys!
