The hype is real! Two artists, two mixtapes, two playlists, all rolled into one. The rap duo Krept & Konan are at it again and never fail to disappoint. After having some time off it’s clear the two were still on the grind. The mixtape includes a total of 14 tracks from the British artists with different vibes to each of them – hence the name 7 Days and 7 Nights. Since releasing their first mixtape “Red Rum” in 2009 this will be their fourth mixtape.
Despite being in the music industry from 2009 their first major release was in 2013 with their mixtape “Young Kingz” which even made its way into the Top 20 UK Charts. Krept and Konan also dropped their first album in 2015 called “The Long Way Home“. This made history for the rap duo as it became the highest charting British Rap album in the UK chart history.
As a result of their hard work and dedication to music the two of them have been nominated and won a number of well-deserved awards. As well as this, they have had the opportunity to work with international artists such as French Montana, Jeremih, YG and Rick Ross along with legendary British artists such as Skepta and Stormzy.
From only being known from Charlie Sloth‘s ‘Fire In The Booth’, Krept and Konan are now known across the globe and played on mainstream radio stations such as Capital and Radio 1. They’ve been teasing the public with snippets of songs and videos that are on the upcoming mixtape, keeping us all intrigued and excited. The two have even filmed the reaction of other artists when giving them a teaser of the tunes they have ready for us. The likes of J Hus, Stormzy, Cadet (who is also Krept’s cousin and was the recipient of Letter to Cadet) and Wretch 32 have had the chance to listen to the mixtape before it’s released.
It goes without saying that Krept and Konan have blown up and their passion for music clearly shows in the material they produce. With the mixtape dropping tonight at midnight, the two have done well in promoting 7 Days 7 Nights as it’s all over social media with Krept hosting competitions in order to get the word spread. One of these being the ‘Wo Wo Wo challenge’ where people from all over have taken part.
7 Days 7 Nights is available for pre-order on all major streaming platforms now.
