The New Day vs The Club
The New Day will be on the verge for holding the WWE Tag Team Titles for a year, but I think they’ll drop the titles to The Club who logically will get the push from here. The New Day have done brilliantly and will continue to be over with fans but it’s time for a change and The Club will be the next WWE Tag Team Champions.
Rusev vs Roman Reigns
Big match for the WWE United States Championship. Roman and Rusev have been feuding but I can’t see it lasting any longer. It’s sad but I think Rusev will do the favours and drop the title to Reigns.
Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens
Awesome match-up with Jericho and Owens being gold as a heel tag. This could go either way but I see Jericho and Owens winning this, potentially keeping the feud alive for the forthcoming weeks. I think the fans will expect to see a Certified G and Big Cass win but this will be the “upset” of the night.
The Miz vs Apollo Crews
The talented Apollo Crews is expected to win the IC title but I think the Miz will retain. I think this will spark a rivalry over the next few weeks which will see Apollo Crews eventually take the IC title at a later PPV. The Miz to win on this one.
John Cena vs AJ Styles
I’ve heard that John Cena will be filming “American Grit” which means his attendance on Smackdown might not be as apparent. It would make sense for AJ Styles to win (clean or not) to keep his momentum running. Rumours are Styles will be feuding with Randy Orton after he has his big match with Brock Lesner.
Brock Lesnar vs Randy Orton
Speaking of Lesner vs Orton, I can’t see Orton going over here. WWE have built Brock Lesner up to be almost unbeatable, and making a statement for Randy Orton would be huge by taking the win. Lesner won’t be around until later in the year (or even the Royal Rumble) but with his future with UFC uncertain it could go either way. I’m going for a Lesner win.
Cesaro vs Sheamus (First match in Best of Seven Series)
I really hope Cesaro comes out on top but I can see him putting Sheamus over for the first of the best in seven. Cesaro has come up on top over the past few months which inevitably means Sheamus will take the spoils at Summerslam.
Sasha Banks(c) vs Charlotte
It would be odd for The Boss to drop the title again to the previous champ, when there’s a lot of spotlight on the women’s division at the moment. I think there might be interference with Dane Brooke being advertised as banned from ringside. Unless WWE are very confident in a clean match for this one, I see something happening which will ultimately work out well for Sasha Banks who will retain.
Dean Ambrose(c) vs Dolph Ziggler (WWE World Championship)
I’m a huge fan of Ambrose and Ziggler, and I see Ambrose retaining the title. It makes sense considering you have the likes of Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and AJ Styles who would surely be higher in the pecking order than Ziggler. Despite this, when Ziggler last won the title I went mental and would love for it to happen again! Ambrose to retain.
Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins (WWE Universal Championship)
It was great to see Finn Balor finally step up to the main roster and I can see a good feud with Seth Rollins. The title will go to Rollins but the feud will remain for perhaps the next few months with Balor taking the title toward the end of the year. Rollins to come out on top at Summerslam.
