A familiar name in Olivier Deriviére is the composer who has created the music for upcoming Playstation game Get Even. He’s previously worked on “Remember Me” and Assassin Creed IV Freedom Cry. Hailed by MTV as “game music’s daredevil” he was always the perfect fit. The brand new video shows Olivier working with the Brussels Philharmonic, and we get an insight into how the music for a game is created.
Olivier speaks to Bandia Namco in a mini interview, giving us a great insight into his thought process. Shots of the Brussels Philharmonic are shown throughout the video too. More importantly to gamers, we take a sneak preview into some in-game footage. Speaking on the game, Olivier says. “Through the use of real-time MIDI, live musicians recorded in ambisonics, and other audio tricks, the gaming environment itself is now an orchestra waiting to be conducted, and everything in it is a potential instrument”
