50 Cent, also known as Curtis Jackson, is a man of many talents. A rapper, actor, business man and investor. It’s safe to say that being involved in film production, fragrances, health drinks and much more, his business career has been highly successful. Despite his ventures, 50’s fifth studio album Animal Ambition which was released in 2014 has resulted in being a huge success in the crypto currency industry. Jackson allowed his fans to buy his album using Bitcoin which made him around 700 Bitcoin. This totals to around $8 million, the rapper celebrated his finding by posting “Not bad for a kid from South Side, I’m so proud of me”. We’d be proud of ourselves too if we were sitting on a fortune like that! He admitted soon after that he did in fact forget. This could be one of the best things for an artist to do. By accepting cryptocurrency as a payment, 50 Cent has allowed himself to become a millionaire.

With the worth of the Bitcoin increasing to even thousands, the rapper who was once bankrupt has also gained the interest of other cryptocurrency companies who have been pitching their crypto platforms to him in the hope he will invest in them. Even though this was an accident in the celebrity’s eyes, it was certainly an accident worth making. It may come to mind, ‘why claim bankruptcy when sitting on a fortune like that?’ The Bitcoin could simply not have been worth as much then as much as it’s worth today.
The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for 50 Cent, in between filming another season of Power and his new film Den of Thieves (releasing 2nd February 2018); he can add this to his list of achievements. You can view the Den of Thieves trailer below.
