Kings and Queens, welcome to March! This is what we’re focused on most this month!
The first thing we have to look forward to this coming March is the not-very long awaited Nintendo Switch! Announced last year this console is potentially a huge game changer, provided it works as well as it claims to we can see portable gaming making a comeback and leaving our phones to become phones once more. Hence why it’s in our Fresh Focus for March!
The idea behind the switch is that you can run the device as a portable console, and then when you get home after the commute or whatever you were doing you can stick the screen into another device. The sides of the screen that were the buttons will now become the controller for your game, VOILA!
The combination of portable and home based gameplay means you can spend the many hours working your opposable thumbs toward triumph! So, if your significant other contiually tells you you’re gaming too much, give her one of the joypads. Then teach her to properly shout “FUS-ROH-DAH!”, as Skyrim is one of the titles due for release on Switch.

Now for the movie buffs, comic heads and those generally not into gaming. We have the second feature of Fresh Focus: March edition- the release of Marvel’s latest cinematic piece Logan. If the rumours are true, then this might be Hugh Jackman’s last portrayal of the adamantium clawed mutant. Most of us will definitely be sad to see him leave the role, but let’s just forget about Origins, yeah?
This final chapter of Logans story-arc, which has loosely followed the comic books Origins storyline, sees an aged Wolverine, withdrawn from society after fellow mutants have been hunted to near extinction. After being coaxed out of hiding by Professor Charles Xavier, played by Patrick Stewart, Logan finds himself in the middle of another war when a young girl needs his help. The movie follows in the same kind of vein that it’s source material-”Old Man Logan”, was written.
Personally, I can NOT wait to see this and will be heading to the cinema when it is released on the first of this month, today in fact! Popcorn at the ready!
Check out the trailer and then go book a ticket, depending what time of day you have read this you may be able to grab 2 for 1 cinema tickets and get that extra elbow room on the day of release too, or you know find some other budding Marvel fan to bring along with you.
