We’ve only got high level details as part of the press release, but initial news suggests that the story will continue and we will see some familiar faces. Although no plot or cast have been released, the likes of Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, and Mark Strong have been present in the first two films. As we know, Mark’s character (Merlin) dies at the end of the Golden Circle, so he won’t be featured in the third film. We were also introduced to Halle Berry, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, and Julianne Moore in the second movie, and there’s every opportunity we will see them again.
Matthew Vaughn has already spoke publicly regarding Kingsman 3, during an interview when he was talking about the writing process for The Golden Circle. “Weirdly, Kingsman 2, when we were writing it, we were thinking about Kingsman 3 as well, which was odd. Big idea for that. [The Golden Circle] is sort of the bridge — if we can pull this off and people go see it — to the other one,”
As expected, the rumour mill has started regarding the cast of Kingsman 3. There are rumours that Merlin actually survived stepping on the land mine, at the expense of losing his legs. Furthermore, it’s rumoured that Roxy (Sophie Cookson) makes a return despite her suggested death. The Rock has been labelled as a potential villain, and Channing Tatum is set to have a larger role in Kingsman 3. We don’t have a trailer to share yet, but we will be posting when we do.
